Item

Biography of Annette Janvier. On July 23, 2001, Annette Janier was murdered by a friend, Walter Dale Larson, who she had recently reunited with and appeared to be dating. Walter Dale Larson is serving a life sentence. Annette was 36 years old. Annette had two sons 19 and 10 years old at the time of her death. She was a social worker who had worked with the unemployed. Mitch, her oldest son, remembers his mother as a warm, friendly person who loved her family and taught her sons they could be anything they want to be. "She believed in us". As children, she taught them to cook and they loved to make donuts together. Mitch knew his mother was in an abusive relationship and tried to convince her to leave but she was unable to do so. His message for others in abusive relationships is "try to get away, go for help".
